did an article on the little things that define our lives, but it is bigger than this. We all have that moment in life where our life meets a fork in the road and we are faced with a decision, one that will affect the rest of our life. But The Power of Moments is by far their best work. The book is a must read not only for executives but also for mid managers (especially branch managers). They begin with the principle that we all have defining moments in our lives—meaningful experiences that stand out in our memory. These moments very much shape our lives.

Watershed Moments book. Read reviews from world’s largest community for readers. Our lives consist of moments. Stitched together like the seams on a coa 3/5(1).   Life, in other words, remains meaning-full literally up to its last moment, to our last breath. What we have to do, both in our daily life and at work, is to wake up to meaning and take notice.

And we tend to back away from the significance of these little moments because they are little moments. You see, the opposite is true: little moments are significant because they are little moments. These are the moments that make up our lives. These are the moments that set up our future. These are the moments that shape our relationships. We all have a moment in our lives where we something happened that changed the course of our lives. Sometimes it’s a choice: to move house or stay put, and sometimes it just happens: a breakup or a death. We are all going to have a time in our lives where we look back and say that nothing would be remotely the same if it weren’t for X.
